On 10 March, Tuesday, the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a University of Technology hosted the grand final gala of the fourth edition of the \u2018My Vision of Logistics\u2019 competition organised for students from universities in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a. It is another year that we have engaged in this interesting initiative, which is organised by the LODZistics Cluster, to sponsor one of the prizes.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Synergy between academia and business<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organised by the LODZistics Cluster or the Logistics Business Network of Central Poland, the event is more than just a student competition. It crucially spans academia and today&#8217;s real-life business. At Commercecon, we believe that this kind of collaboration forms the basis for innovation. It provides students with a space where they can confront their theoretical knowledge and ideas for the sector\u2019s development with market requirements, while giving us, professionals, a unique opportunity to explore unconventional ideas that may soon shape the face of logistics centres of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Focus on people?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, the industry\u2019s current challenges the students have been asked to address included urban logistics, the green transition and automation. However, the students also had to employ the human-centred approach we embrace and which balances modern technology with staff wellbeing. One of the winners in the thematic categories was Robert Pietrzak, a student at the University of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a who wrote an essay <em>Man at the centre of modern logistics \u2013 how to reconcile automation with employee needs?<\/em> We were delighted to give our prize to Robert, and the Marketing Manager Micha\u0142 Brzezi\u0144ski had the pleasure of presenting it on our behalf during the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In keeping with our tradition, the award is not only prestigious, but it has an integrative aspect.
