The expansion of the Valmet Automotive sp. z o.o. factory in Żary was officially inaugurated. On 21 January 2025, the foundation stone laying ceremony took place for the construction of the facility we are General Contractor for.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by: Remigiusz Grześkowiak, President of the Management Board of Valmet Automotive sp. z o.o., Maciej Zawada, Head of Business Development Panattoni BTS, and representatives of the local authorities: Edyta Gajda, Mayor of Żary, and Wojciech Kasprów, Deputy Mayor of Żary. Our company was represented by Hubert Hoffman, President of Commercecon.
The project we are carrying out contracted directly by Panattoni involves the expansion of the existing Valmet Automotive plant with an additional 8,800 square metres of production and logistics space, which will also include staff welfare and administrative facilities. The building is being constructed under the demanding build-to-suit formula, in which adapting the structure and parameters of the existing building to suit the technology implemented and other needs of the future user becomes key.
This project has been yet another one delivered under the formula for Panattoni. The other facilities we have built in recent years are used by K-Flex, Solaris and Air Spiralo, to name a few.
Construction work in Żary is expected to be completed in spring this year, and production in the new building is set to start in the fourth quarter of this year.
