On 15 June 2023, the final gala of the 15th anniversary edition of the Łódź Region Manager of the Year competition took place in the Fashion Promotion Centre of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. A special mention in the SME category went to Hubert Hoffman, founder and majority owner of Commercecon.

The prestigious Łódź Region Manager of the Year competition has been held for 15 years. The competition is always organised by the editorial board of Dziennik Łódzki and the Łódź branch of the Business Centre Club, and the decision to award the title of manager is made by the competition jury, which consists of representatives of the organisers, local authorities, universities in Łódź and people from the Łódź business community.

This year the members of the branch awarded prizes in three categories: Micro and Small Enterprises, Medium Enterprises and Large Enterprises. They also decided on three special mentions, one of which – to our delight – went to our company founder, Hubert Hoffman.

The branch recognised his dual role as a manager – for many years he has skilfully managed two very different teams, which requires not only a great deal of knowledge and experience, but, above all, excellent leadership skills. On the one hand, he plays a key role in the efficient management of Commercecon, which over the past 20 years has completed nearly 280 challenging industrial projects with a total area of more than 2 million square metres for major developers, Polish manufacturing companies and multinationals in the industrial sector. On the other hand, he is devoted to his passion for sport, successfully running the women’s volleyball club ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, of which he has been president for many years.

Under the leadership of Hubert Hoffman, our Squirrels began a new chapter in their history – first, they were quickly promoted to the first division, and in the last six seasons they have not been absent from the podium of the Polish Championships, winning the gold medal twice. They have also represented women’s volleyball and the city of Łódź internationally, playing in the Champions League and CEV Cup.

“Everything I do is based on the team and the team is made up of people. I am only their representative, so on behalf of both teams – Commercecon and ŁKS Commercecon Łódź – I would like to thank you very much for this award,” said Hubert Hoffman from the stage, accepting the prestigious award.
