We have completed the expansion of the production and logistics facility for Valmet Automotive. A state-of-the-art industrial facility with a total area of 8,800 square metres was erected in Żary, which we delivered directly for our long-standing partner Panattoni, the world’s most energetic developer of industrial real estate.
We are pleased to announce the completion of a state-of-the-art production facility for Valmet Automotive, the world leader in complete convertible roof systems and advanced kinematic systems for the automotive industry. The 8,800 square metre building was designed for maximum flexibility in adapting the space to the changing needs of the manufacturer over time. It will manufacture cutting-edge kinematics systems, designed at the company’s research centre in Germany, for which market demand is growing steadily.
We were delivering the project on a build-to-suit basis, as the biggest challenge for us was to carry out the construction work in the immediate vicinity of an operating factory. The experience the Commercecon team has had with this type of projects has shown us that such conditions always translate into less comfort during earthworks and structure assembly. This meant that as General Contractor we had to address the logistics and organisation of the construction site in such a way as to prevent the ongoing works from interfering with the production process in the operating plant, as well as ensure the full safety of its employees and property. We managed to accomplish that perfectly with the support of our partners, the developer and the tenant.
The site was developed with sustainability building principles in mind, using a range of environmentally-friendly technological solutions. The building will undergo BREEAM certification at the Excellent level.
