On 31 May in 2023, we had the pleasure of taking part in a unique event that always marks the official opening of the industrial facilities we build. This time we went to Uniejów, where we had been invited by our partners: Panattoni and K-Flex, we took part in the opening ceremony of the high-bay warehouse for which we were the general contractor. It is important to note that this is the third consecutive project carried out by this team on the Uniejów campus.
K-Flex is a global manufacturer of flexible insulation and sound proofing materials. For the past 15 years, the company has been developing its operations in Uniejów, near Łódź, where it has built a production and warehouse campus with a total area of more than 100,000 square metres. With around 1,200 employees, it is the largest employer in the city.
The new warehouse is the sixth facility built as part of the Uniejów campus, and its official opening took place in a unique setting. The event was attended by the founder, CEO and management of K-Flex, directors of the BTS division of Panattoni, the leading industrial and logistics property developer responsible for the project, members of parliament, representatives of local authorities and numerous business partners. Our company was represented by the entire Board of Directors and the team directly involved in this project.
The ceremony began with short speeches by the hosts and representatives of Panattoni, who gave a multimedia presentation of the history of the ten years of cooperation, and then special guests were invited to speak. The speeches were followed by artistic performances inspired by the context of the meeting. In the first part, the development of the company was shown in a very entertaining way – with live sand paintings. In the second part, the audience was enchanted by the performance of a pair of gymnasts who demonstrated acrobatics on sashes suspended 15 metres above the ground.
We have been working with Panattoni and K-Flex in Uniejów for several years. At the turn of the year 2020/2021 we handed over to the investor the first built facility of 9,200 m2, in March 2022 we completed the construction of a production and storage hall of a total area of 6,500 m2, and today we are adding a modern warehouse of 33,000 m2. To be entrusted with the general contracting of further projects is an exceptional honour for us and demonstrates our high level of competence, but also that the trust placed in the Commercecon team a few years ago was not exaggerated.
