A press conference was held on Wednesday 20 March 2024 by K.S. Budowlani WizjaMED Łódź. The rugby team that we are the main sponsor of has unveiled the new naming rights sponsor, the new coach and a number of new players. With such a strengthened line-up, it will start in the spring round of Rugby League this Saturday.
The press conference, traditionally organised by the club in the beautiful interiors of the Book&Cook culinary studio, preceded the spring round of key Polish rugby matches starting this weekend.
Budowlani (the Builders) believe that after a not-so-successful autumn round, the spring will be much better for them athletically. Anna Chudzik, the president of K.S. Budowlani WizjaMED Łódź says the last season’s return to the super league was difficult for the team, but the club’s authorities have learned the right lessons, rebuilt the team and are hoping to return to the right place in the most important league competition.
Argentinian Claudio Venturino, the new coach, who works with a number of really great players with experience in international arenas, will help to achieve this goal. Joining the team in the upcoming round are Georgian Ika Tsivtsivadze, Australian-born Polish representatives Lucas and Alex Niedźwiecki, Tonga-born Tiueti Asi, who recently played in Australia, and Altus Delport and Thulani Toolz from South Africa. Kacper Palamarczuk, acquired a year ago, remains the biggest star.
We make no secret of our satisfaction at the continued support of the club from Górnicza Street, so we can continue to build one big sporting family in Łódź.
