Although we have known the full composition of the ŁKS Commercecon Łódź team for the 2024/2025 season for several weeks, this is the day that all fans of the Łódź Squirrels have been waiting for. The girls and the entire training staff officially presented themselves to the people of Łódź last Wednesday, 26 September.
Meeting the fans at Piotrkowska Street, bouncing balls at Wolności Square and, finally, the official presentation of the volleyball players and training staff in the surroundings of the magical tenements of the Passage of Roses – that was this year’s presentation of the ŁKS Commercecon Łódź team. It started punctually at the symbolic hour of 19:08 for the Łódź club on Wednesday, 26 September. Both, the weather and the reliable supporters were in favour. And this is not at all surprising – after all, Squirrel matches are known for their unique atmosphere not only on the court, but also in the stands!
The composition of the ŁKS Commercecon Łódź team for this season is very impressive. This is all due to a very active transfer market, with as many as nine new players joining the team. All the most important people for the club, taking part in the official presentation, speak openly about fighting for medals.
In the role of captain we will see Anna Obiała – a centre player who represented the PTPS Piła team in the previous season. The new captain promises that in the coming season the girls will do their best to provide the faithful fans with a great volleyball spectacle. In a similar vein, Italian coach Alessandro Chiappini also expressed his satisfaction with the squad he will be working with this Tauron Liga season.
– I will do my best to make this team even better, the coaching staff even more ambitious and I hope it will bring us the right results – this is how President Hubert Hoffman announced the upcoming Tauron League games at the end of the meeting with the fans.
Alongside President Hoffman, Paulina Maj-Erwardt will ensure that the road to achieving the set goals is as smooth as possible. The former team captain has ended her sporting career, but not her adventure with ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, and will make her debut in the role of managing director of the club.
The Tauron League for Squirrels starts today, 1 October this year. In the inaugural match, our players will take on the #VolleyWrocław team at the Sport Arena.
