We have completed the first phase of a pioneering project in the Silesia region. We unveil BOOSTER Zabrze!

We are extremely excited to announce the completion of the construction work we carried out during the first phase of the prestigious BOOSTER Zabrze project. A uniquely ambitious vision of developer LemonTree and the complex innovative design by Grupa 5 Architekci meant that, from the very start, the project in Zabrze went beyond a standard development for logistics facilities, and we quickly realised we had more than just another routine construction project to finish.

Innovation was emphasised in the BOOSTER Zabrze project right from the start, both at the stage of vision and design development and during the subsequent construction work. Not only the conceptual spatial plan, which includes a convenient business zone and a public leisure and sports area, but also the approach to the construction process itself, which the Commercecon team developed, were the innovative components of the project. We have incorporated a range of advanced functional solutions into our procedures, previously used in the most ambitious, environmentally-friendly construction projects.

State-of-the-art technologies and the BREEAM Excellent standard

The first phase of the now-completed development comprises two buildings with a combined floor area of almost 50,000 square metres. Both buildings were designed and built with a view to maximising energy efficiency and ensuring the highest level of comfort for users, which was rewarded when they were certified BREEAM-Excellent.

The worth-mentioning technological solutions we implemented include:

• Safety systems comprising advanced fire protection systems and innovative roof deflection monitoring
• Modern materials and energy efficiency provided through the installation of PV systems, energy-efficient lighting, improved thermal insulation of walls and the roof, and the use of a special type of cement produced with lower carbon dioxide emissions
• Optimisation of working conditions provided thanks to increased access to sunlight, particularly in key areas of the loading bays

The highlight of the Zabrze project: a timber clad façade

One feature that particularly sets BOOSTER Zabrze apart from other logistics facilities is the unique façade facing of the office section, which was made of natural wood. This bold, environmentally-friendly architectural solution accentuates the building’s prestigious character and embraces modern design trends in industrial construction.

BOOSTER Zabrze is yet another example of how a modern logistics facility can be functional, safe and environmentally-friendly, as well as adopt a highly pleasing aesthetic.
