Brownfield development for Panattoni. BTS plant to be built in Szamotuły

At the beginning of October, in cooperation with Panattoni BTS, we commenced construction of a production and warehouse building for Air Spiralo, the leading manufacturer of ventilation systems in Europe. The building, for which we are the general contractor, is being built in Szamotuły, where the company’s Polish headquarters are located. The project is worth almost €8.4 million.

The hall, the construction of which has just begun, will be 12.4 metres high and will have a total area of 9,500 square metres, including a modern two-storey office area in addition to the production and storage areas. We are acting as general contractor for this demanding build-to-suit project. This is yet another project of this type that Panattoni, the European leader in industrial space, has entrusted to us. As part of our collaboration with the Panattoni BTS team, in recent years we have built industrial facilities for Solaris and K-Flex, among others.

The bespoke facility will allow Air Aspiro to consolidate its logistics and manufacturing operations from three existing sites, providing the company with a convenient environment for further sustainable growth. Notably, the roof of the hall will be adapted for the installation of a photovoltaic system and the building itself will be BREEAM certified.

The development that is about to start is a double challenge for us – in addition to the build-to-suit formula – we have to start by preparing the site in line with the requirements of a brownfield development. Our responsibilities include demolition of the existing buildings, remediation of the land, revitalisation of the site and preparation for the construction of the new hall. Due to the proximity of the company’s headquarters, we will be providing road links to connect all the buildings.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
