Construction of SungEel Hitech Poland plant completed
In Bukowice in Lower Silesia, the recycling of batteries for electric cars will soon begin. The 6,000 sqm plant is one of the most recent developments completed by our team. The general contracting of the facility, on behalf of the investor POSCO and SungEel Hitech Poland, was entrusted to us by Exon Invest.
The new plant is the Korean investor’s first venture in Poland. It was a great honour for us to work on this project, and, at the same time, a proof that our services to date are appreciated not only by Polish, but also by foreign investors.
Construction started earlier this year and the official opening ceremony took place in August. The result of our work is a modern production and warehouse hall, with comfortable office and staff space, all totalling 6,000 sqm. The building was constructed in the demanding ‘build-to-own’ formula, and the technical and technology solutions used were fully adapted to the needs of the future user.
More and more battery production facilities for the automotive sector are being built in Poland, but recycling companies are also increasingly willing to invest in our country – an example of that is the SungEel Hitech Poland project. Note that the Lower Silesian location of the Korean investor is not accidental. The LG Energy Solutions battery factory, which is Europe’s largest production centre for batteries for electric cars, is located in Biskupice Podgórne near Wrocław. It is from here that components and defective lithium-ion modules will arrive at Bukowice to be recycled.
During the completion of the project, Commercecon worked closely and effectively with Exon Invest Sp. z o.o. and Axi Immo Group Sp. z o.o., acting as project coordinators and a team of investor supervision inspectors.
