Designing logistics halls

A logistics hall should, above all, be functional and cost-effective to run. This type of facility is not only used for storage, but also as a place for distributing and handling cargos. To include this function in a logistics hall design, we adopt solutions that enable efficient work of all operators. We divide the space so as to create usable areas and functional traffic routes. We also select appropriately sized gates, docks and unloading ramps, and make driveways for HGVs.

Building a logistics hall

We build logistics facilities in the “Design and Build” formula. As a general contractor, we are responsible for a project from the beginning of the design to the commissioning of a complete facility. We have long-years experience in building halls for various uses and have completed a total of nearly 2 million sq. m of industrial space for investors from various sectors. When building a logistics hall, we prioritise maximising the use of the space, broadly understood safety, durability and reliability of the facility, traffic safety and timely completion.

Optimising hall structure

We make sure that the structure is robust and reliable to ensure safe use. Moreover, a reasonable use of building materials is equally important in the design process, so that the structure, is built in a cost-efficient way, while maintaining the required safety levels. At Commercecon, we optimise engineering structures considering a number of criteria, such as the weight, strength, reliability and functionality. We advise on the HVAC, fire protection systems and suitable lighting. Furthermore, we offer a wide range of roofing and wall cladding solutions suited to the investor’s preferences and requirements. To date, we have completed over 270 projects, including the modern logistics centres for 7R Park Łódź West II, MLP Pruszków and Panattoni Park Szczecin.
