We are extending our collaboration with Katoen Natie. Building another high-bay warehouse in Kutno
In Kutno, we are about to start the construction of another high-bay warehouse for Katoen Natie, a global logistics operator from Belgium. The new facility is being constructed in the Kutno Subzone of the Łódź Special Economic Zone and is being completed under the build-to-own formula. The new project proves the Belgian company’s ambitious growth plan advertised in Poland last year.
The warehouse that we have just started to build will be 15.5 metres high and have a total area of 15,300 sq m including staff and technical areas. This is our second project for Katoen Natie, a global logistics operator specialising in bespoke solutions for customers in the petrochemical industry, as part of the expansion of its logistics centre in Kutno.
Our cooperation started last year, when the investor entrusted us with the general contracting of the first high-bay warehouse with a total area of 10,500 sqm. As part of that stage, we were responsible not only for the construction of the hall, but also for building the road system, the fire water tank and the pumping station, as well as for the reconstruction of the clean water system, stormwater and greywater drainage, as well as a rainwater retention tank. In the second stage, the building will be connected to the investor’s existing facilities by a network of internal roads, extending the technical infrastructure. The very good knowledge of the investor’s needs and expectations that we have acquired during our cooperation to date makes us very optimistic about the success of the new project.

Investor’s opinion
After two years, I can confidently add to this list the excellent atmosphere of cooperation, which is primarily due to the Commercecon team's strong commitment to their duties, but also to the company's individual approach to clients and their needs. Therefore, when we decided to expand our logistics centre in Kutno, we had no doubts as to whom to turn to. This marks the second time that Commercecon has become the general contractor for our project.
As part of the new agreement signed, a 15,300 m2 high-bay warehouse was built in the Kutno Subzone of the Łódź Special Economic Zone in 2023, which also included office and staff facilities. This facility, like the previous one, was realised using the build-to-own formula, so we ended up with a building perfectly tailored to the needs of our operations.
And this time, the Commercecon team fulfilled all the assigned tasks reliably and on time. That is why I am happy to recommend it to any investor who is planning to build a facility of a warehouse or industrial nature.
