Another project for Panattoni. In Central Poland we are building a logistics centre

After the record-breaking 2021, the warehouse market in our country is not slowing down, with another project gained in Central Poland, our region. In Lućmierz, just a few miles from Emilia junction at the A2 motorway, we are building a new logistics centre for Panattoni, the leader in industrial real estate in Europe. Its design area will be over 32,000 sqm.

DPD will move into the first facility, the construction of which has just started, at the end of Q1 2023. It will house one of the largest and most modern sorters in the country.

The growth of e-commerce and the express delivery service market makes it necessary for courier companies to develop their infrastructure by building new sorting centres in attractive locations. And this is certainly the case with Lućmierz, located in the Łódź conurbation with more than one million inhabitants.

The facility dedicated to DPD will be divided into warehouse space and functional office and staff facilities – all with a total area of 6,300 sqm. In line with the principles of sustainable industrial construction, the hall will be equipped with a range of solutions to ensure its sustainable and efficient use, and the facility will pass BREEAM certification at the ‘Excellent’ level. As part of the project, we are responsible for the landscaping of the area around the buildings, with plenty of green areas around.

The Lućmierz site is another project for this developer. Our cooperation to date has focused primarily on the construction of modern industrial halls, built under the demanding ‘build-to-suit’ formula for multinationals in the manufacturing and warehousing sectors.
