We have completed the construction of another industrial facility within the K-Flex campus in Uniejów. We built a high-bay warehouse with a total area of 33,000 square metres under what came as another contract signed with Panattoni. This marks the third consecutive project completed together at this location.
A high-bay warehouse with a total area of 33,000 square metres was built as part of K-Flex’s campus in Uniejów. This is the sixth building of the leading manufacturer of thermal and sound insulation materials in this area, and the third we have undertaken to build. The building was commissioned in the first quarter of 2023, and is used as a logistics centre for the entire K-Flex campus which reached a total area of more than 100,000 square metres upon the project completion.
We are delighted that Panattoni has once again placed its trust in us by having us build another building within the K-Flex campus. In the last two years, we have already commissioned two facilities in Uniejów with a total area of almost 16,000 square metres. In March 2022, we completed the construction of a production and warehouse building incorporating an office and staff welfare component with a total area of 6,500 square metres, which followed the handing over of 9,200 square metres of modern warehouse and office space to our client at the turn of 2020 and 2021.
The facility in Uniejów was delivered under the demanding ‘build-to-suit’ formula, which helped us shape the space to suit our client’s future needs from the very start of construction works. The warehouse is 15 metres high for more efficient use of the storage space, and the roof structure was designed to transfer the additional load of a PV system.
As part of the project, we were also responsible for site development around the warehouse by providing extensive green areas with numerous plantings, a covered shelter for bicycles, as well as car-sharing zones. We applied these and also other solutions in order to embrace the sustainability trend in industrial construction for the building, which was certified Excellent under the BREEAM rating. The site will also have technical infrastructure – a fire fighting water reservoir with a pumping station – and the campus will get a new internal road system.
